We record exact fiber percentages, including elastane, nylon, polyester, lining, coatings, and major trims. “Made with organic cotton” is not enough on its own.
The Material Evidence standard
Natural does not automatically mean safer. We examine the complete garment, the evidence behind it, and the compromises a shopper will actually notice.
We record exact fiber percentages, including elastane, nylon, polyester, lining, coatings, and major trims. “Made with organic cotton” is not enough on its own.
We look for evidence addressing PFAS water repellents, formaldehyde wrinkle treatments, azo dyes, antimicrobial finishes, and other treatments that can matter more than the base fiber.
A certified raw fiber is not automatically a certified garment. Product-level GOTS and OEKO-TEX documentation carries more weight than a general factory or material statement.
Cotton can breathe beautifully and still feel damp during a hard workout. Merino can regulate temperature and cost considerably more. We show the tradeoff before the click.
Certifications expire, formulas change, and product lines vary. Approval belongs to a specific item and its current evidence, not permanently to a brand.
